Chestnut Filly Case Study | West Midlands
I undertook work on a chestnut filly that raced unsuccessfully for a couple of seasons. She was presented to me for treatment a couple of months after a severe fall on the walker in which she fell over backwards and was temporarily trapped under the partition. She had terribly sore withers and objected to any physical contact in that area and to being tacked up. She also was uneven to canter and had difficulty bending round corners. After a course of treatments she ran again and came fourth and a field of 16. She ran better in this race than she ever had before.
Grey Case Study | Worcestershire
A grey was presented to me after a drop in performance at the track. He had always shown signs of a cold back although recently the symptoms had been worsening and the animal been completely hollowing his back when the rider mounted and a sensitivity in the area when being brushed. After one treatment the animal no longer objected to being mounted and over the course of treatment his performance gradually improved.
Anabel King | Anabel King Racing | Warwickshire
This is me and Daniel Thomas at Anabel King Racing in Stratford leading the string the morning before his treatment.
In the picture below you can see his head is tilted slightly to one side, which is Danny’s way of telling me he needs an adjustment.
Anabel asked me to treat Danny as he suffers from both a tilt and a rotation on the right side of his pelvis.
This leads to soreness over his quarters and along his back. He needs regular treatments to keep him happy and pain free.
I performed two adjustments to correct this problem and also two atlas adjustments. Due to the problem with his pelvis Danny also often has a rotated atlas (at the top of his neck).
After the treatment Danny is always much happier and can gallop much better, especially round the corners.
Mathew Wainwright | Staffordshire
‘Our Springer spaniel Charlie had started becoming very aggressive towards other dogs who came to close to him, we were put in touch with Emily as we were advised this could be down to problems with his back. After only a few treatments we noticed a huge difference in him, the aggression has totally gone and he will now happily play with other dogs, something he has never done before-we can’t thank her enough!’.
