If you are looking for an ‘Equine chiropractor near me?’ then look no further. My name is Emily Walters from McTimoney Animal Therapy and I am your Local Horse Chiropractor and Massage Therapist. I live just outside Worcester and I’m happy to travel to see you all over the West Midlands. I have been practising for 14 years and have lots of experience with all different types of horses and dogs.
If your horse has suffered from a fall, is exhibiting unusual behaviour such as bucking or rearing, has a drop in performance, hasn’t ideal conformation or has had badly fitting tack they may benefit from an appointment with me.
Initially I will take a thorough medical history and examine your horse. Then I will always watch your horse move, on a firm level surface if possible. If you are having specific issues in ridden or lunge work I’m also happy to observe this.
The Chiropractic treatment is usually readily accepted by horses but I’ll take my time and make sure your horse is comfortable throughout. I always make sure I have plenty of time with you and your horse so we are not rushed. After the chiropractic treatment I will do some massage and stretching with your horse. I find these two treatments give the best results and will normally spend about 30 minutes doing this.
I will record everything I have found on my record card and I am happy to email you a copy for your records. I will give you some aftercare advice to follow and usually some exercises or stretches for you to do with your horse in between visits.
